Europe Council, 1998: This study is an exploration of the new forces in meal provision. The traditional boundaries between the retail food market and foodservice providers in their many forms have become blurred as a result of dramatic changes in people’s lifestyles. Increased wealth coupled with pressures on time provide a challenge to conventional habits in food shopping and eating out. This report introduces the term Meal Solutions.
